The inaugural Galway Theatre Festival in 2008 was directed by Andrew Flynn and produced by the Galway Arts Centre. The Irish Times Culture magazine listed the festival as one of the highlights of 2008. Last year's box office success was testament to the local support for the arts and the festival could not have happened without the support of the Galway community.</description>
