It is a week long event and classes run from Monday to Saturday inclusive. The mornings feature workshops on uilleann pipes, whistle, flute, fiddle, concertina, button accordion, banjo, harmonica and harp, dancing and singing. There is also a general introductory class to the world of Irish traditional music.

The morning tuition runs from 10.00 - 13.00hrs. The afternoons are devoted to lectures on various aspects of the musical heritage, and there are recitals every evening. At night there are set-dance ceilithe with music provided by the leading ceili bands in Ireland. The extensive programme is delivered by leading tutors and artists and the event concludes with a concert.
