Traditional Market Day at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park

August 15th OR 22nd (date to be confirmed) - the local Market Day was always a popular social gathering in villages in bygone years. Fresh farm produce and crafts would have been sold and stories and banter exchanged amongst friends in the village square. On Market Day at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park you will see these and many more customs of the traditional Market Day re-enacted and taking place from 12pm -5pm.

Cruinniú na mBád (Gathering of the Boats) Festival

August 20th-22nd 2010 - up to 100 unique Irish boats, the Galway Hookers, once the workhorses of the coast of Connemara and North Clare, gather for the annual weekend of racing and celebration at Cruinniú na mBád (Gathering of the Boats) festival in Kinvara, Co. Galway.
