March 25th-28th 2010 - The Connemara Pony Breeder’s Society will host its annual Spring Connemara Pony Festival Weekend in Clifden, Co. Galway from Thursday 25th March until Sunday 28th March 2010. The festival is now in its sixth year and has grown from strength to strength. It attracts pony enthusiasts from all over Ireland, Europe and as far a field as the United States.

September 12th 2010 - the Pony Showing Season of 2010 reaches its pinnacle at the 5th Annual Supreme Champion of Champions Show, where 1st place winners of 2009 Connemara Pony classes countrywide, compete for the title of Supreme Champion.

April 30th - May 2nd 2010 - Feile Chomortha Joe Einniu (Joe Heaney Commemorative Festival) is an annual weekend event held in Carna, Connemara, Co Galway, since 1985. This festival celebrates the life and achievements of the renowned sean nós singer, Joe Heaney, a native of Aird Thoir, Carna, who died in Seattle, USA, in 1984.

April 30th - May 2nd 2010 - the May Bank Holiday weekend sees the return of the Leenane Mountain Walking Festival, now in its third year. Enjoy a unique combination of mountain and sea, as Leenane is situated on the edge of Killary Harbour and surrounded by mountains in all directions.

On the 23rd May 2010, Croi, the West of Ireland Heart Charity will host their 18th annual Lough Corrib Cycle – the biggest annual charity cycle in the West of Ireland. This event, which has been growing steadily every year since 1993, includes 75-mile and 29-mile route options.
