June 5th - 12th 2010 - on Sunday 5 June 2010, more than 75 world-class powerboats will leave Galway Bay in pursuit of the Around Ireland Offshore title. It’s the toughest endurance powerboat race on the international circuit, with five stages spread across six days bringing competitors from Galway, right around Ireland’s varied coastline and racing back to the City of the Tribes to claim victory.

July 6th - 11th 2010 - The Galway Film Fleadh – Ireland’s leading film festival, is a six day international film event held every July and welcomes a mad diversity of filmmaking from around the world. The Fleadh is very much a filmmakers’ festival, and attracts directors, actors, cinematographers and artists of all generations and cultural backgrounds, who present their work before their peers.
